Polish Vodka FAQ’s
I'm not sure which tasting to book. Help!
The main difference between the Vodka Tour and our sit-in Polish Vodka Experience is that the Tour also includes a walking tour of the Old Town’s very best vodka bars and cafes, delicious Polish dumplings to soak up the spirits and the opportunity to choose vodkas from hundreds of varieties.
Our Vodka Tour is hugely popular with small groups of friends, couples and solo travellers. Kraków’s vodka bars are so different to what you get back home. They’ve got such a crazy selection of varieties and each venue is completely different to the last so it’s a lot of fun exploring them.
Our sit-in Vodka Experience is really popular with larger groups on a budget. It’s great value, gives a fantastic intro to Polish vodka, and means bigger groups don’t have the confusion of changing venues.
Can I customise the inclusions?
Sure! Want to do the Kraków Vodka Tour but would like to skip pierogi? Or would like to arrange extra food? No problem, just drop us a message and we can sort something out ![]()
Why Join an Organised or Guided Tasting? Is it Worth It?
We see so many visitors to Kraków miss out on the very best of Polish vodka and Kraków’s vodka bars.
They get stuck in tourist traps, upsold on awful, overpriced foreign vodkas, or end up cold, wet, stressed and lost trying to figure it out on their own.
Even when they do find a decent bar or vodka, they miss 90% of the experience — the history, culture, traditions and funny stories behind what’s in the glass.
Sitting alone at a table, they miss the social side too: making friends, drinking with a friendly local, and meeting people from all over the world.
They miss the stories of growing up in Poland, and they never quite connect with the place or the people.
So they go home having missed something that’s genuinely special to Poland — having barely grazed the surface of Kraków, and without ever really chatting, laughing or bonding with a local.
That’s what we exist to fix 😉
We know some people are on a tight budget. The absolute cheapest way to try vodka is to grab a mini bottle from a corner shop or order a shot in a random bar.
But this is your special trip to Kraków — and it’s a chance to really experience something.
Why Polish Vodka?
Firstly, Polish vodka is really, really good.
The region you’re visiting is the true Homeland of vodka. They’ve been making vodka here for over six-hundred years, and by now they’ve got the production process down to both art and science.
Forget any of that Smirnoff or Tesco’s value muck you might have tried back home.
It’s more than just quality, though. Polish vodka places an extraordinary focus on character. The entire production process — and especially the base ingredients — is designed to shine through, making every vodka truly unique.
And that’s just the clear vodkas.
Polish flavoured vodkas are simply mind-blowing. Unlike in many other countries, chemical flavours aren’t used here. They’re made from real ingredients, often using recipes passed down through generations.
The variety is also absolutely wild. We’ve counted over 300 different vodkas stocked across the venues on our tour.
Chocolate. Salted caramel. Elderberry flower. Strawberry. Christmas orange… the list of flavoured vodkas in Kraków’s vodka bars is endless.
It’s the National Spirit for a reason — it’s just so culturally important. Every single bottle has a story.
The spirit is completely intertwined with hundreds of years of cuisine, history, tradition, folklore and more — life, living, death, celebration, business and even war… plus plenty of the hilarious personal local stories our guides love to share.
7 Vodkas Sounds A Little Intimidating? (Or 7 Vodkas Doesn’t Sound Intimidating Enough! 🤣)
Nicely tipsy is the best way to describe our tastings. The vodka samples are paced across the experience. We always want our guests to walk away with a big smile on their faces but not too wobbly on their feet.
Some people are scared of the idea of trying Polish vodka but it is incredibly special and really different to what you would have tried back home.
We always give some straight vodka samples so our guests can understand the unique quality and character involved in Polish vodka but you’ll have lots of incredible flavoured options (like salted caramel!) to choose from if you’d like something easier to drink.
There are of course plenty of stronger options available for the braver souls 😉 and you can always buy extra shots at the end of tour.
What If Someone in My Group Doesn't Like Or Can't Drink Vodka?
So many people fall in love with Polish vodka after joining our tour. We have a Great Time Guarantee, so come and try it and if you don’t enjoy your evening in general we’ll give your money back!
If you can’t drink though then no problem, we have lots of guests join us who don’t drink for numerous reasons. The tour is about so much more than just vodka, vodka is really the “excuse”, something special to craft a great time around.
The tastings are designed to be lots of fun and very sociable but they’re also about local cuisine, culture, traditions, folklore and funny stories. If someone is a non-drinker just drop us a message and we’ll arrange a special offer for them.
Who Is This Ideal For?
If you love exploring the food, drink and culture of a new city then this is for you!
Can I Book For a Hen/Stag-Do or Birthday Party?
Yes! Stags and Hens just require a private booking and we’ll run your very own tasting separate from our standard sessions at no extra charge. Just tick the stag/hen box when booking.
We’ve had so many fantastic groups of guys and girls join us over the years and there is a ton of great reviews from stag and hen groups that you can find on our TripAdvisor page.
The kind of groups our tastings are most suited to are those looking to kick-start their Kraków trip with a cultural, fancy and fun drinking experience. To get a great introduction to the city and lots of great tips for the rest of the weekend.
Our tastings probably wouldn’t be suited to groups looking to hit a hundred jaeger bombs before 10am and be passed out by midday (which hey we have no problem with but it doesn’t mix well with spirit tastings!)
If you have any questions at all or would like to customise your tasting please feel free to drop us a message and we’ll be more than happy to get back to you! 🙂
Could This Be A Great Corporate or Team Building Event For My Company?
Polish vodka tasting in the perfect fun thing to do for companies looking for a team-building or fun social activity.
We take the pressure off you, showing everyone an awesome time with something incredibly special to Poland. It’s tipsy, not drunk. It’s tastebud-teastingly tasty. It’s fascinating. It’s really fun and it’s the perfect way to introduce everyone to Polish culture, cuisine, history, folklore & tradition.
It’s really ideal for companies bringing staff over to Kraków for the first time, or local companies with international teams.
Am I Too Old/Young For This?
You just need to be over the age of 18. Our groups often have people from all over the world and of all ages. Some of the funniest guests we’ve ever had were a group of 70 year old ladies. Young at heart is all that matters.
Is There a Lot of Walking Involved on the Tour?
The tour starts and ends in Kraków Old Town and there’s only a short walk between venues. If you can handle an easy five minute walk then the tour should be no problem at all for you. Just let your guide know if you need to take it slow and they’ll look after you 😊

Booking FAQ’s
How Can I Book?
Booking is easy! You can see tasting options here or jump straight to booking here. If you’re booking for a group you can book a group tasting option here, or find our more about group options here.
If you’re having any problems or you can’t find availability for your time in Kraków then just drop us an email or message us on the website chat function and we’ll be happy to help 🙂
Do I Need To Book in Advance?
Places on our Kraków Vodka Tour are very limited availability and regularly sell out in advance. We also only have limited number of private group tasting slots available.
We’d highly recommend getting a booking in early to reserve places. You can book with just a 20% deposit and you cancel completely for free with a full refund any time up to 24h before the tasting.
If you have left it late and can’t find a ticket, drop us a message and we’ll do our best to squeeze you in!
Can You Be Flexible on Start Times?
We try to be as helpful as possible!
Certainly for private group bookings we can usually customise start times for bookings. It’s more difficult for smaller groups.
If you’re a small group, couple or solo traveller, keen to book but having difficulty fitting it in around your arrival times and other activities, you can always drop us a message and check.
What is Your Cancellation Policy?
It’s completely free to cancel any time up to 24h before your tasting. So if you’ve put a deposit or full payment down and cancelled with at least 24h notice we’d refund you completely. We can’t refund cancellations after that point.
If you’re worried about flight delays and cancellations, just drop us a message and we’ll see if we can help.
